| Was leaving Shem creek on Sat am when this guy/guide in a 20ish foot Scout passes us in front of Magwoods throwing a HUGE wake. It was slamming boats against the dock. We are talking about as big a wake as a boat can make. He was wearing a bluegreen columbia type shirt and had 2 guys in front of the console. I yelled at him 'Hey, NO WAKE!" He turns, looks at his wake, and then, right in front of the next dock he floors it before even clearing the last few docks. If I could have chased him down without being a threat to all the docked boats, I would have just to harass him. This is the same guy Ive seen at the jetties anchoring up on top of others. What an IDIOT! If you are reading this, Id love to meet you! PM me! |

| Doc, I got your back!!! We had a 26' Scout do the same thing to use on the way into Shem Creek two weeks ago. Passed use in the no wake zone flying I could have touched the guy he was so close he had the twin outboards rolling. We yelled at the guy he just laughed found it funny we found the boat at Waters Edge tied up but no class act on board. Just because they have a boat doesn’t mean they know what the f&%$ they are doing. |

Thanks Todd! No class, no consideration, no common sense is becoming the norm. I usually dont post this stuff. However, Everytime I go on the weekend anymore this is a regular type of occurrence. Pictures are going to have to be taken from now on to out these idiots before someone gets hurt!!! |

I agree with you 100%. The lack of basic boating skills is getting worse each year. I guess that's what "Daddy's Money" gets you. From "captains" not knowing which way to turn to avoid a collision to boats running three & four wide up and down the ICW with oncoming boat traffic. It's just one big *!# slinging contest out there anymore.

Pat,
I will monitor this for you as well. Lets film the dip**** and send the video to the DNR. I think they would love to test writing a post offense ticket based upon the testimony of the videographer. Fritz what info can you provide us on capn bubba wakeshem? We need to put a tail on his ass asap. |

Pat, if he has a Captains license the Coast Guard will pull it for throwing a wake and endangering others. Get the DNR registration # off the side of the boat the next time and give me a call.

So I can just start reporting guides boat numbers to the coasties and they will pull peoples licenses? Sounds like an easy way to thin the herd.
Do you really believe that some guy named"Pat" could report someone for throwing a wake in Shem and the coasties will run out and pull his ticket if he is a guide? Just like that?

| Doc got one for you yesterday was easying along in the no wake zone near Wappo Cut with my 3 year old son in the boat. I look and to my unsurprised eye a guy in a single engine Grady White comes flying past use with a nice big wake stereo blasting. Two guys in small boat fishing near the big buoy that states “No Wake Zone” in the cut got a good rock. Between the two of us we yelled but he heard nothing just kept on going. I had my son in the boat and didn’t want a confrontation with the guy just told my son you always respect other boats always because you never know. It’s not like we go and try to find the jerks they are everywhere these days they seem to find use all. The funny part of the whole thing was that he had 3 PFD’s fly off the boat but was unaware or didn’t care seem fitting. I gave one of the PFD’s to a little guy at the ramp the two others I would like the owner to claim them. |

Yeah Todd they are everywhere. On a leed I looked up some boats and guys on the net and the one I thought it was doesnt look the same. On a new note, while fishing under the bridge yesterday, outside of the main channel, I had two boats come within 30 feet of us at 25-30 MPH. We need a mandatory boat drivers license test. Maybe then when people are caught doing this crap, they would possibly lose their license for reckless endangerment. It gets worse every year! |
