what is yalls favorite trolling lures/skirts for dolphin? illanders i know are great but they can get pricey at $20 each. what do yall use?

My bag has a lot of C&H skirts. You can get them at Dicks, and all the fishing stores around town. They have always been my most productive lures. Taking into account I don’t have thousands of dollars on rigs, and don’t operate a charter boat, I do the best with what I have, they are cheap and catch fish. Again, take me with a grain of salt as I’m not nearly as experienced as most on this forum, but they do work for me when I go out and they won’t break your wallet.

I like them short. Sorry,couldn’t help it.
Sunday, for they liked pink/grn islander, and wht lead head and blue skirt.

I tie my own sea witches and once they destroy the hair just cut off old and tie new one to same head. Saves money and allows you the freedom to test the waters on differnt colors. Dolphin will hit about anything you are pulling.
My favorite Ilander is a sail lure, usually run those off of the short riggers, then I also like to pull squitches and sea witches off of the my long riggers. Then off of the flats I like to run splitbills. For the money the blue water candy’s are tuff to beat. I also like these lure called Hoo Machines, they look great in the water a company called Canyon Gear makes them.

Those little Stubby Bubblers Sirecks mentioned with small ballyhoo are hard to beat on a short rigger.Like others said,Seawitch,Bluewater Candy,or Islander on long riggers.The blue/white Islander saillure is great on a short rigger as said.Pretty much any color combo of purple/pink,blue,white,green will work.Think of your bait mimicking flyers,squid,and flipflop dolphin.Good luck!

Ilander saillure off the long or short rigger is hard to beat. I’ve caught wahoo on them also. I like the pink and blue one.

Islanders for targeting dolphin? Not for me.
Sea witches are fine…along with weenies.
