Less Govt, LEG3 and I joined stickman on his new ride for a day of fishing and breaking the boat in right…left the marina at 4:AM and had a beautiful ride out to about 130’ of water…mid 70 water temps and trolled to around 170’ and back…picked up 5 dolphin, 1 weehoo and a couple of BSBs…caught some decent sized sharks and generally had a great day on an incredibly flat ocean…light colors seemed to be the trick…thanks for a fun trip stickman, now let’s go do some camping!
Sweet, is that the new 25 regulator?? What did you think about ride vs the old 26? Thanks
yea, new 25 Regulator with twin 200s…honestly I’ve only ridden on a couple of other boats in that size range (the old 26 was not one of them)…and conditions were some of the flattest I’ve fished…so I could not really give a performance report card, except to say that it one hell of a machine…
Not too bad for no weed lines, flyers, birds or flotsam ( there was that 1 ballon), and no outriggers.
The riggers arrive today, the bases ,in theory, finally ship from Lee tomorrow ( are they really that popular they were back ordered this many weeks?).
Other things released to the ocean: AJ, porgy, triggerfish, remora, about 50 beers, one shirt, couple chicken bones.
The 25 (30 feet of running surface) runs soft and smooth and dry. Took jumping a slow moving sporty’s big wake at 35 mph to get some spray on the passengers by the stern bench! Nothing rattles, nothing shakes, quite solid. Flat deck, no step.
