i was on navionics site and looking at the platnium plus+ aftermarket card
i see they offer map: 906p+ which covers the south east…
is anyone running this chart or a similar one on simrad nss evo2 units? if so can you give me an idea on if the stock loaded maping is lacking?

im basically asking if the stock insight simrad map is any good…
does the navionics map offer much in the ways of upgrades over the oem loaded map system.
i get off on weekends and do travel to charleston semi frequent…
906P+ will give you more detailed bottom bathymetry with fish-n-chip enabled and the satellite imagery is also top notch. Extremely accurate and useful in small inlets/creeks.
Night and day better than preloaded Insight charts. The insight charts are perfectly adequate for the average guy though. It’s not something you’ll need to upgrade - until you ever see somebody’s 906+ displayed.
