I have to make a post to some of you guys in this forum, what’s the point if screwing with people? This doesn’t just mean me but this refers to others who post on here or try to. Every time I look at a post, someone has to have something negative to say or starts to become an internet troll. If you click something and you don’t like it, then leave that thread and move on! I don’t post on here to deal with a bunch of people bashing my stuff and I doubt others post on here to do that either. When I first started posting on here when I was 13 or 14 years old I had people patting me on the back and being very supportive of my post which sometimes take an hour or so to type just so others can enjoy them but as I grow up I get ridiculed. So what if I have put in time and effort to get a sponsor? Do I not deserve to be able to represent something I like, or should I represent a product just because it’s popular even if I hate it? Seriously, what’s the point? What’s the point with posting on here and what’s the point with people being trolls?

This isn't pointed at any specific person and has nothing to do with me, I can take it and find fun in it. I made this post because I had a few people message me and telling me that they don't use the forum anymore because people like to pick and troll and I find that to be pretty messed up. Does it start to get under your skin slightly after it happens on every post? Yes. Then again I was raised around people who pick with me a lot.:smiley: no hard feelings haha, on top of that you jumped in late in the game. I won't name names but a few of these guys do it over and over and it starts to get annoying because I've been on here for about 6 years and recently a few people tend to kind of target others to pick with.
Agree, have heard from several people who belong to this board or use to post here about the same thing. I know a few people personally who have been run off by others on this board. Like someone said its the internet and most all people on here are anonymous, but dont act like its not a problem because alot of people avoid this forum for fear of being criticized or ridiculed after having back experiences here. Well, I’m still here at least.
Dude, it’s the internet. Not everyone one is going to have the same opinion. Some people live/hide behind their internet persona, some don’t. Was told a long time ago, " Gotta have thick skin on this site". Don’t let it bother you, it’s just people.

Because anyone who can’t take a little ribbing from a stranger on the internet is not fit to fish with me in person… I’ve probably had 100+ people from this forum on my boat over the years, so I like to test them out a bit before meeting them in person. Have yet to see a grown many jump off the boat and swim back to shore…
I understand that a lot of it is all in good fun but some guys end up taking it a bit far. I’ve taken several of the guys on here out fishing before and had a great time but some just end up being really immature.

I don’t come here to argue with anyone, I come to learn what you know, and share what I know, when I can, and help anyone I can. Somebody here is an expert on everything. Sometimes I poke some fun, but I never mean any harm. I try to make it a rule not to post anything that I wouldn’t want my mother, my wife, my son, or my prosecuting attorney to read. That usually keeps me safe. That and a thick skin
Whenever you present yourself as an authority you invite criticism. Whenever you try to represent/promote a product you’re acting as an authority in the subject and as a salesman. Most people don’t like getting sold on something without asking for it.
That said, because of you, I’m going to order a Kastking. Never heard about them before this forum.
A few pieces of advice…
-Keep catching fish
-Create posts like FatRat or the kayak guy from DC. Don’t post up youtube links
-Maintain modesty/Don’t brag
-Remain positive
-Use product placement not signatures. If you have to, your signature should be a link to your youtube page
-Refer to my previous post about video stuff
-You’re not a kid anymore, learn to take a punch
-Don’t be afraid to regulate on some googan running their mouth on the forum, most forums go by prison rules anyway.

I try not to get rude and be professional haha, trust me I can take it! I enjoy sarcasm and as a matter of a fact I’m a very sarcastic person but when I have someone messaging me and telling me that I’m an a**hole for posting that video and that I should learn how to fish, it starts to really get under my skin. I’m going to hold back in telling this persons name for now but if I ever find out who they really are and I see them at a landing, I pray that they say it to my face. Once again, 99% of you guys are awesome and I ah e learned a ton from y’all but I just think some moderation needs to me placed so that people aren’t being chased off. I run my own fishing club and have to give some guys the boot here and there because they just don’t know when to stop.
