family spot

Thinking about going out on Saturday. I have a 3 year old that is really hit or miss with fishing from the boat but if I pull the boat up someplace she usually does pretty well looking for sharks teeth, running around, picnic and stuff. I’ll usually throw out a couple rods while doing this. My experience so far this time of year is any of these places I’ve tried have been fish deserts. Any body care to share a place like this that might have fish around it this time of year? Thanks

Near Fort Johnson in the harbor (to the left if facing shore from the water) is a sandy beach that kids/families seem to enjoy hanging out on. People fish from the Fort Johnson point, but I don’t know about the sandy beach/cove area. Maybe someone else can chime in and say if fish are in there this time of year.

Sandy Point on the Northern tip of Kiawah would be a good spot for that. Its right at the mouth of the stono inlet so there are certainly fish around. Also lots of beach to explore. If its windy, which it looks like there will be a little wind, there is a creek right behind it that can block the wind.
