I’ve been watching the weather, don’t think I’m going to try it. Catch em up if you make it out.

Looks like a 50/50 forecast. A little breezier than forecasted the chop on a big swell will be yuck. A little less breezy and that’s gonna be a smooth swell. Tear them up. Let’s get the Robalo’s together and go torch em some day soon!

I’m planning on it

Unless this wind lays down I think I may cancel for another calmer day. I hate wind!

I’m going somewhere, may end up staying closer to shore. Me too, this year’s been rough

We’re gonna go for it. if it’s bad we can always turn around. catch em up.

It’ll be worse Friday than tomorrow.

I’m going to keep watching it, but I may push it. I’ll go out the harbor, so we can go nearshore or just the jetties if it’s not cooperating. I’m still learning how to read these forecasts!

Looks like we’ll be staying inshore, it’s just getting worse and worse. Good luck though, hope y’all can get out.

I made it out. Not as nice as I had hoped. Slow. 1 king and 1 dolphin to show for it.

we made it out to the outcrop. Turned out to be a nice day. covered up in barracuda and false albacore. had one big run off. thinking big hoo. jumped clear out of the water I put some heat on him before he was able to spool us. wound up bending the hook for the long distance release. get em next time. stopped on the way in for some bottom fish. all in all a good shake down trip for the 2018 season. how deep was the dolphin and king you caught.

The king was right on the ledge 5 minutes into trolling in 170’. Dolphin was out deeper, about 240’.

We went out Friday and were on the water by 2:30PM. We made it to the nearshore reef by about 4:30pm. We did spend some time on the way out near Morris Island playing in the shallows and throwing the cast net. We found a good school of BSB at the nearshore that appreciated the mullet so we stayed until dusk. My 10 year old nephew wasn’t upset at catching 30 or 40 fish he had to throw back because they were too small. The ride back in watching the sun set was awesome. Nothing in the cooler, but a great day otherwise.

Forgot to mention that we were almost put off by the wind, but it did lay down as we got out of the harbor.
