Bushy Park weekend

Saturday Low Tide in Bushy was early and quite a few of us pushed out before morning light. Pulled up on a bank or two and managed about 10 or so reds tagged until I ran out of tags and released. Back home by 11:30. Berkley shrimp chartreuse was the softy of choice.
Sunday was a challenge with Hi winds but managed a few reds before trying for a few Cats and greeted Optiker whom I hadn’t seen on the waters in awhile. Catfish, Cole slaw , Football and something cold for the day and back before the games started. Reds released.

My man, the KOBP! Opt will sneak back in there still from time to time… I wish I could have eavesdropped on that conversation:open_mouth:

Thanks for the report, glad you found 'em too!:+1:

…well, some fishing too!

I always enjoy seeing and catching up with Eric (KOBP), if you have never met him, he’s a true gentleman and excellent angler. He’s also my good luck charm…Until I saw him I was 0 for about 500 casts…said our hello’s and next spot had a quality slam. Day got better from there on
October has been a struggle for me so far, but I think we’re on the cusp of some hot fishing. Always good to see you Fat Rat! You’ll see more of me…

I must have just missed y’all Saturday - we launched out at 06:00 - few cats no reds. Sunday went out in the late afternoon and fished some of the creeks targeting trout - landed several but all well under slot - please tell me this will change or am I chasing butterflies for slot trout in these back creeks?

Just started fishing the Charleston Waterways this Spring - having a blast!

Fatrat is one of the fisherman I live through vicariously. Hard to believe Dave had 500 casts and no fush. I think he says stuff like that to make guys like me feel better. Thanks for sharing Fat.

Thanks to all whom helped me through the years of knowledge fishing these areas and reading most of ya’lls reports. CKondall it gets better as long as you continue to challenge these waters. Fish are everywhere and I do move alot when after game fish but if you see me anchored you best believe I’m after Cats only. See some of you this weekend and I may run in Stumps GC area depending on wind.

Tightlines fellas
