Fishing in the wind...and rain..

Knowing that the rest of the week would be a wash…literally…i asked Donnie if we could fish this morning…it wont be too bad I said…and we wont get rain…:face_with_spiral_eyes:lol…never poke your finger in mother natures eye and smile:smiley:
It blew a solid gale and there were white caps even in the “backest” back creeks…but we managed to find bait and fish despite a pop up shower and the winds.
Lots of trout today gobbling up finger mullet and shrimp in the edge of the marsh mostly…when last trip they were in about 3 foot of water out front of amd away from the marsh…same tide.
Couple rat reds…one small flounder…1000000 pinfish:unamused:…
Saw second set of rain headed our way so called it a day.
Donnie and Roo caught a nap after their lunch…lol
Sore as the devil but so glad we went
Brought 3 trout home for our son…ledt the others swimming…
Slow cooked pot roast for dinner…
Life is good:smiley:

Love the pics and thanks for sharing the fishing! I may need to try out that beef stew, you know, to make sure it is ok and all to eat:slightly_smiling_face:

Nice! beautiful photography!

You know the bigger Pin fish scaled, battered and deep fried are pretty good. Do em just like a bream. We ate many I caught as a kid in Florida. Of course they are best on a hook wrapped with grouper.

Never knew pin fish as “pin” fish. We called them Choffers.

Hahaha! Great answer!
