An overslot red and #releaseover20

https://youtu.be/O88l7o8N-Pg

Went fishing Thursday. Slow bite but managed an overslot redfish and a 20 plus inch trout and maybe 10 or twelve more.
Fished for trout in the ICW with no luck. Moved closer to the inlet in some secondary creeks and found some scattered around.
I fished with a young man from Georgetown (my boat) who fished that area and he put me on a cool new spot. I’m sure the locals know it. In my boat, there is maybe a 45 minute window where we can get in and get out. It was a fun little trip.

Good video as usual.
My problem is when I go back in Creeks like that I end up getting caught. Then go for a walk and find the deep holes and catch some more. Wife don’t let me go back in the Creeks on outgoing tide.

22 life’s a day

It happens - not always a bad thing to just be “stuck” and enjoy your surroundings as you wait for the waters to come back in - does no good for fishing but good for the mind!

That 72" shaft is gold right now - I can’t find them anywhere!

If you’re not scuffing up the bottom of the boat, you’re not doing it right. I’ve learned my lesson over the years a few times though; always scout on dead low to incoming.

Great picture. I’ll probably have a pic like that one day. I didn’t know that those little creeks are mostly sandy bottoms so getting stuck wouldn’t be horrible. Especially if you have an oyster knife and some hot sauce

Good advice! Well, you’ve seen my trolling motor.
Pretty sure oyster beds started the whole process.
