Paying it forward

Hope everyone is having a pleasant weekend.
I don’t fish on the weekends because of boat traffic but it seems like that’s when the wind lays down. I’ll go out on Tuesday.

Anyway, I went fishing last week- complete spur of the moment after running some errands and decided I’d keep a few fish to give away to someone at the end of the pier or elsewhere. I found a guy sitting on his porch on my way back to Sewee Outpost and he was THRILLED to have fresh fish.
Plus, my daughter finished my logo for my channel which is cool.
Not looking to sell merch - just want a sticker on my back window, coffee mug and a bucket hat for Adam.

I’m trying to get on that summer pattern where fish are scattered on oyster rakes and the pin fish harass you all day. Something seems off though. I’m getting bit but it’s pretty infrequent. The wind hasn’t helped either but I feel like I’ve got that part figured out. Also, if I’m not close to the ocean, the bite is nearly non existent.

I’m mostly finding trout on points but the wind and currents have not been working in collusion.
Any advice would be welcomed.

Kerry Browning.

I’ve noticed that too. The bite isn’t quite there in the small little creeks. Closer to the ocean or in the big rivers, the bite is much more consistent and predictable.

i enjoyed the video and new logo. thank you

gotta confess, at the 4:50 mark, my stomach hurt when you willingly broke off that $2 trouteye.

but, like The Great One says “if you’re not losing 50 jigs a trip, you’re doing it wrong.” amirite Opti?

i made that 50 number up.

one day at that ramp, a guy’s boat broke down. he looked old, disoriented, and unskilled. i took him with me. my gear, my gas, my spots. 1st spot, he released 3 trophy tw trout before I got tied on. so much for his looks. 75 yr old man proceeded to trash talk me relentlessy. he didn’t shut up for 4 hours. if i see you there one day i’ll tell you the rest. its lol.

I’ll be there at 8:15 this morning. Would love to hear the rest of that story. Would also love to hear about your dad. I catch snipits here and there but honestly, it sounds like a novel.

Good stuff man, karma loves stories like those!:+1:

PP, you going to try the big bay poons this year again? Looking forward to a report, don’t leave me hanging… If you need a trainee, let me know as well:+1:
