Tuesday fishing with “Ringtones”

https://youtu.be/D1g1GumOWwg

If you guys watch my YouTube channel you know that Adam and Glenn are regulars on my boat. Adam loves the Ned rig and Glenn’s ringtones on his I phone blow up all the time. Well, the guys commenting on my channel call Adam “ Ned Rig” and Glenn “Ringtones” I had “Ringtones” and his son on my boat.

His son hasn’t ever fished inshore so he wanted some fish to fry. They were making tacos for three so I told them four fish would be more than enough for that - so, off we went.

I was throwing artificials. Mostly a Salt Water Assassin 4” Sea shad swim bait in purple “opening night” on a 3/16 oz jig head. They were mostly throwing mud minnows on a jig head or popping corks. Artificials were working. That Salt Water Assassin in that color I love - but don’t expect to catch more than three fish on one. They tear up really fast. Can’t seem to find anything purple from zman in that size lately. And you know when something is working it’s hard to get away from it? Anything purple has been that for me lately.

Started out around 8:30 hitting a couple of flats and then went to oyster banks later as the tide was falling. Fished some bends where the current wasn’t as strong
We managed our fish but it wasn’t easy.
Supposed to be 9 mph winds but, as it’s been all year, add 30% to that prediction every time.

Anyway, video is linked at the top as per usual for those interested.

Kerry Browning.

You guys have a good time, that’s what it’s all about! I’m ready to do some fishing myself. I did finally have a release over 20" weekend before last though.:sunglasses:

Since you’re a big fan of ned rigs and purple lures, have you fished the Trout Tricks at all?

…well, some fishing too!

Yeah, I’ve got sexy mullet for stained water. And I have the jerk shrimpZ in the shrimp Po’ Boy. I really like that color. I’d love to find a day where I could throw that on a 3-1/6 oz and bop it around on a sandy point. Hard to do in 18 mph winds though.

Getting on the Wando Wednesday with Nedrig and Ringtones. Had a guy give me a very detailed map of all his honey holes because his dog got bit by a venomous snake while he and his wife were out of town and his dog sitter was too busy with getting this 200 lb dog to the vet.

It was a cotton mouth. Dog got bit twice and survived.

That was before I knew how to fish inshore. I completely forgot I had this “Treasure map”.

He don’t fish where me and you do Stump.haha If your dog gets bit by a cottonmouth, just give him a couple raw eggs ,no need to call a vet.I’ve done it for my hounds many times.

Well, that would have saved him over two grand.

BTW, congrats on that Releaseover20!
I think I need to find some new spots. What did you catch it on?

He ate a live shrimp under a slip cork set to about 5ft, in 8ft of water with pilings all around.

Sounds like you have a “treasure map” to explore. That ought to be a lot of fun!
