Saturday 6/19 N Edisto and area

This is a simple, old fashion fishing report…no drone or go-pro hat videos, no link to other sites, just a summary of what happened on Saturday. My wife and I got off to a good start in the early morning, fishing the end of the outgoing tide at the entrances of some small creeks into the N. Edisto river. First was a nice shark, about 3’, which broke off right at the boat. After that, we had small reds and small trout one after another. A lot of action but no keepers. Also caught several croakers. The bite shut off quickly when the tide stopped moving and switched to incoming. Everything was caught on minnows on a Carolina rig or under a float. Also saw a nice size flounder jump right in front of the boat! Water temps around 85. Got home just in front of a passing thunderstorm.
that is all!

Nice trip for sure, glad ya found some. I can’t post a thread but I had a similar outing Sat early. Caught 3 of the smallest spottails I’ve ever hooked, literally 7 or 8 inches. It was wild. We did manage one good one and a trout too so that was cool. Only saw 82 degree water in the Cooper though. Enough about me ha. Thanks for the report!

Thanks for the heads up. Had a semi long reply typed in and went to send it and got a error message saying it was a duplicate…wtf…:unamused:

Good simple report. Just like I like it. I went yesterday after the storm and it was hard fishing. Caught small flounder and red drum and that’s it. No dolphins around so that was weird…guess they had better sense than me to get out.

Nice, I probably wasn’t too far from you as the crow flies. My Brother in law got nice mess of whiting on shrimp and then some decent shark caught on a couple of the smaller whiting.
