Came back from Maine for the week so took the boat out from DI Marina this morning. Caught a nice slot sized red, one small one, a flounder and three nice trout on trout tricks. The reds and flounder were caught on mud minnows. Since I’ve spent the last seven summers in Maine I forgot how hot Charleston is especially in August. Catching a few fish made it seem cooler.
Also saw a manatee up in the grass.

You are absolutely right, I almost forgot about that but found a picture of the little goober holding that fish. I remember how mad he was getting when you and I were catching fish using arties and he was catching nothing on mud minnows. He’s hard-headed like his mama.
