Ripped off at Bushy Park

Put in at Cypress Garden and had a leisurely cruise around to Bushy Park. Put out the 2 recreational crab pots and went fishing.

I made sure to stay a couple hundred yards away from any other pots.

Caught some nice trout and flounder on 1/4 oz Trouteye jigheads, tipped with electric chicken, new penny, etc. Thanks Dave! Optiker.

We were out of view of the pots when a storm came and we made a run for it. Anyone out there Saturday knows what I’m talking about!

Pulled the pots, after 3 hours, which is usually enough, only to find that they’d been opened and cleaned. I guess I should be happy they didn’t cut my lines?

Headed back to Cypress Garden, very upset, and come across a family broken down. They were there for 2 hours and no one helped them.

We pulled them in, a 24’ deck boat, parents and 6 kids, with my little 17 Sea Hunt. Gave them food, water, beer, music, etc. Took 1-1/2 hours.

Glad we got to help someone, and caught fish and had a good day on the water.

On another note, this site needs some serious help. Y’all know what I’m talking about. Fix it or shut it down! I’ve been a member since the beginning, and have seen the decline.

You wonder why Optiker, and others, don’t post anymore? Look at the disgusting posts you allow here!

I’m here and willing to help, whatever you need.

Let’s get this back to where we were.

Seems like you worked through being ripped off…you helped a family avoid a ruined day.

Karma has a way of working itself out.

As far as posts…disregard the negative and post the positive.

IMO,…It will work itself out…without censorship.

And btw( by the way for… Pea Pad), I gots an Alvarez Yairi 12 string that sounds as good as the day I bought it … used for $300 bucks in the 70’s.

I’m with mdaddy. Waiting for site owners to fix this place is a waste of time. IGNORE the negative, nasty jackasses and STOP fueling their hate-filled fire. If every decent member of CF would post positive stuff maybe the site would improve (content at least) and some folks would come back. I know a few folks that simply got tired of negative comments made about fishing reports, etc. and said, “to hell with hit”. The actual site itself is frustrating and the owners seem to have no interest in improving anything so, I guess we just have to live with it or let the site die.
