So I took the oldest youngen out sight fishing this a.m. We were trying lures from 2 xmas fishing calendars that she got us to open everyday before xmas…anyway, what better way to put them to the test! I was throwing a pattern that usually works on this flat and she was throwing the new baits. Well all my trout and redfish were short striking like it was going out of style! Meanwhile her new baits were hooking grown redfish after grown redfish after grown redfish!!! Needless to say, the words that left my lips after pushing onto the flats was if those baits were to come in front of schoolers I bet they’d eat it…fish on!!!
