Small world sometimes

I helped a guy at Lowe’s load his Sheetrock. He noticed the scar’s on my forehead. We got to talking. He was probably one of my nurses at San Diego naval hospital. We’re going to get together and drink a beer one day next week.

A couple months ago.Run across a guy that’s got a bike shop up there by Greenville. Both in the same company. Me 1st platoon. He was 3rd platoon.
So surely we have crossed paths before.

Maybe 20 years ago. ABATE Toys for tots poker run. We met this couple at the mall parking lot.
That was the starting point They’d already stepped off. We caught up to them and ended up hanging out that day. Invited us to a party at his house following weekend.
I recognized some pictures in they’re foyer. His family had a campground on their farm. Upstate NY. My dad had the ugliest baby poop yellow truck. (Got it on the cheap dealer couldn’t move it)
And a frolic camper. I shouldn’t say it but… I will. With a Buffalo bills flag flying off the front of it.
We had camped there a couple times.
So probably rode bicycles and swam with him and his brothers…

I’ll add on. Picked up a dude that was broke down yesterday. We got to talking and come to find out his Dad married an English lady while in the A.F. about the same time my Dad did the same thing. His Mom and mine grew up very close together and after talking to Mom, she met his mother while Nursing here in the Boro. We laughed about how both of us got called “Yanks” while in England. Neither of us understood at the time all American’s are considered “Yanks” to many English People.

He recommended I go to CodFathers on Spruill Ave.

Don’t forget our chance meeting while waiting to get probed. Wish we could have met on better circumstances. My Doc was a pretty lady and yours? She even shook my hand before she violated me.

Codfathers is good stuff. Very similar to London fish and chips, my only other experience.

We love Codfathers!

I have a good friend who’s mother is British. Married an A.F. man back in the 50’s. Must have happened quite a bit.

"Apathy is the Glove into Which Evil Slips It's Hand", but really, who cares?

Yep the Stars kind of aligned on that one. If there would not have been a hold up getting us in. And if you would not have seen the post and replied to it.
The one in the lobby with the mask hahaha
Then I asked for them to give me my phone so I could tell my wife that there was a hold up.
And I looked at the form while I had my phone.

Yep the doctor and the anesthesiologist both introduced themselves asked what branch of service I was in and shook my hand. One of the nurses introduced himself. Navy corpsman served with 3/9.
Asked if I licked any door knobs or eat any crayons lately. And told me he would not be calling me in the morning.
Smart a$$ squid.
Got a good laugh out of it and then they turned my lights out…

You find things offensive. I find things funny. That's why I'm happier than you.
