What happen to this buoy. it was used alot for fishing forecast??? any answers out there....

Pretty sure the buoy is just “down”. Big waves/storms seem to take these out of service until someone can go out and repair it. Capers was down for a while last fall. Frustrating as I would like to see what the water temperature is at that buoy.

I saw a post on another page with a picture of it further north. It looked like it was run over by maybe a freighter, all of the structure/ instruments were wiped off of the top of it and it was definitely free floating. It is no longer in place and I haven't heard anything about it being replaced.
